I didn't have any kids or much else going on in my life.
It seems that most blogs I read are dedicated around stories of their kiddos.
It just so happened that I finally decided to get over it about the time Ryan and I got our first "kid".
I know now that I have plenty to write about without worrying about me not having kids yet.
So let's start with how Ryan and I were graced with the cutest puppy ever!
You may remember on my other post I talked about a couple Ryan lived with for a while.
Their names are Seth and Rachel.
Well they have 3 kids (now 4 as of a few weeks ago!)
We were in Stillwater visiting for one of their kiddo's birthday parties.... they all have Summerish ones with the exception of this new bundle of joy.
I of course am instantly drawn to this puppy!
Side note... I have been wanting a puppy pretty much since the day we got married.
If you knew me growing up we had a dog, Muffin, who was just a terror and I needed another chance at having the pet I have seen so many others have and always wanted.
We didn't want to deal with a dog in an apartment, then we needed a fence at our house, then our roommate had a dog. Pretty much the excuse list kept going on and on.
Well the party was coming to an end and I am asking all about who's puppy is this and where did they get it.
It was Rachel's mom's puppy, Daisy.
Turns out the Stillwater humane society had just received this litter Friday (it was Saturday) because the couple that planned on breeding them decided to separate.... bad news for them, great news for us.
So I only had to look over at Ryan and he said "Go pick one out".
That's pretty much all I needed to hear. There was a brief moment of "are you sure?" "what about our roomates' dog?"
Well that didn't last long and we were off to the pound.
It didn't take long to pick our cutie out. There were only 4 or 5 left and she just had the cutest white stripes on her face and neck.
Seth and Rachel's oldest daughter helped us pick the name and it was back to Tulsa with our perfect little puppy.
She is a beagle mix and we really think she's part daschund so she should remain fairly small. We bought supplies and I was pretty much a high for the next week.
Sadie has been such a joy to our lives. She usually sleeps through the night now but likes to wake up sometimes an hour or so before we need to.
She is so playful and has such a cute personality.
She prances when she walks and is getting to be such a princess.
She is CONSTANTLY hungry and we call her our little fatty (we have to regulate what she eats or she wouldn't stop).
She gets really excited and begins to run circles around our entire house just before she is about to calm down for a bit (she was doing this as I was typing and ran into the office door at full speed... poor thing).
She loves to chill outside on the hill in our yard.
Her ears are always flipped inside out or sticking out because they are going through their awkward stage.
I seriously don't know what we did before we had her.
I am beginning to think this is probably a good thing for couples to do before they have kids.
I think it really shows how your spouse will be when it's time.
Ryan is great about getting up to let her out in the mornings and play with her to get her to go back to sleep just so I can get another hour of sleep.
When he has been gone and it has just been me I begin to realize how hard it must be on single parents.I know a puppy doesn't require near the amount of attention and time as a child but it can be hard doing it alone when they are in this stage of constantly needing to be watched because they aren't fully potty trained yet.
Anyways, I am just so happy that we got this cutie and can't wait to share crazy stories about her.

That is the cutest puppy....ever!! And, keep up the blog. Writing is always good no matter who is listening. :)
